In this version of the classic Oktoberfest hit "Schützenliesel", the story takes a refreshing turn: Liesl is no longer the lucky charm in the story - she’s the one behind the scope. Our modern twist breathes some new life into the song by flipping the traditional roles while honoring its roots in celebrating skill and athleticism.

The music for this video was performed by members of the Liederkranz German Band and recorded/produced by our very own Norm Gwaltney. At the center of it all is Anne Fuchs - a gifted vocalist and sharp shooter with her eye on the prize.

Video footage was filmed at the Indianapolis Liederkranz in downtown Indianapolis, the Circle City's home for German music since 1872. All performers featured in the video are members of the Liederkranz Band, Handbell Choir, and Vocal Choirs.
